To master the skill of making a confident yet controlled swing, Angela took several lessons. Her skills improved as she grew older and won over eight tournaments while a student in high school. Garcia was also the Mable Falls golf team captain in 2003. She steered them to third in the regional competition and they came in sixth in 2006. Garcia, who owns 17 medals in her record at the national level as well as being a member of The Women's Texas Golf Association an incredible golfer. Garcia was a student at Texas Christain University after graduating from high school, for a period of three years, before moving to the University of Texas. While at the university she was able to play on a bigger level and she honed her skills over time. Angela Akin Garcia found great pleasure as a professional golfer. But, she did not have the ambition that she would become a professional. So, once her graduation from the university she was offered an interview with Fox Sports Southwest journalist.
